Student Quotes
Bobbi Berger is an amazing performance coach who truly enabled me to sing from my heart, instead of trying to "look" and "sound" good while I was singing. While under her direction, I won the Take 2! Vocal Competition in NYC, wrote and performed original songs for a Benefit Concert for Domestic Violence Survivors, and began writing my one-woman play. She provided a safe place for me to explore artistically, and helped me to see things about myself that I didn't even know existed. I would recommend her for any professional singer/actor who is ready to take their performance to the next level!

Bobbi,
I want to thank you so much for all you gave us this weekend. You
are an incredible person and teacher. You give all of yourself
with love and passion that is inspiring. I look forward to seeing
you again on April 1st.
Please let me know the time and place for your class. I consider
you my mentor so what you say is gold to me. It's funny because
when I did my first interview with Tyrone he asked me if I knew of you
and I said yes.
Then just before the class some of the girls asked me about you and I
said that I had heard about you and that we were in for a treat but
that was truly an understatement. Your class is not just
instruction but an experience that anyone who is really serious about
acting needs to have with you. You showed me a way and technique
to reach myself. When you and Tyrone said that I was more open
and real I think that happened because I was no longer tense.
Raised by parents that always have you do the right thing you are
always concerned with being proper and doing the right thing.
Your exercise had me so relaxed that I didn't even think of that and
was able to open up to the character more. THANK YOU! I
could go on forever but I really wanted to drop a line and say honestly
that I think your class was the thing that got me the role.
Peace & Continued success to you! If you ever need my help for anything please don't hesitate to call me.
Amelia, Actor
"It's
hard to know where to begin when talking about Bobbi. She gave me
the gift of introducing me to my acting authenticity. Because of
Bobbi I've booked 4 appearances on major soap operas (One Life To Live
and All My Children), recently booked 3 commercial and finished my
first Equity show two months ago. Thank you, Bobbi!!!"
Danny O'Neill, Actor
"I
was feeling a bit insecure about my acting ablility, and actually my
state of being as a whole. That was when a friend of mine brought
Bobbi into my life. She was on vacation in Florida, but still
took the time to have some sessions with me. By the end of the
week, I felt alive again for the first time in years. I felt as
though not only my acting, but also my emotional state of mind, had
been restored. If not for Bobbi, I would have continued on the
path that we see most of the people around us on. Not knowing
where you come from, where you are going, or most importantly, where
you are. Thank you Bobbi."

"I only considered myself a dancer when I met Bobbi. Her classes gave
me the strength and self confidence to be much more. After the very
first lesson, I discovered talents within me I never knew existed. Her
presence and teaching style made me feel comfortable and confident. Her
technique will work for anyone and everyone, regardless of their
profession. Bobbi is an amazing teacher and person. I'm so thankful for
my experiences with her."
Vanessa
McMahan Dancer, Singer, Actor
"As a singer, the one thing I always struggled with was letting my
emotions out through songs. I knew I was missing an integral part of
performing and thought that I would always have this issue, until I met
Bobbi. Through her class, I was/am able to use my experiences and
feelings and let them out when I am singing. Her classes have changed
the way I perceive myself, my music, and the way I perform. Her
techniques are priceless and very practical. Her positive, encouraging,
and energetic manner are just part of what make her such a great
teacher"
Jeanne Yoo
(Singer)
"Bobbi is an amazing teacher. I used to be a scared individual who
rarely spoke aloud in public, much less sang and acted in front of
people. Yet she saw my potential and need for self-expression and
cultivated me into an aspiring actress and singer after only 4
sessions. Now I am auditioning and booking tv and film projects. When I
speak to other actors about my experience with Bobbi's teaching, they
become inspired or re-inspired in their own careers. Because of her
great guidance, knowledge, intelligence and positivity I have learned
what it takes to be a successful performer. I also learned how to be a
better person. Anyone who ever gets a chance to meet Bobbi is a
fortunate person."

(Actor)
"What has Bobbi Berger taught me that respected New York schools and 12
years of on-camera performance did not? Most importantly---courage
---to show what life has done to me both the good and the bad. Bobbi's
students must become decisive and surrender to a physical tempo that is
real and propelled by internal ardour. The transformation is quick
under her safe guidance."
"Yes we jump alot in Bobbi's actors gymnasium but more importantly we
jump into our characters with both feet at her insistence. Her coaching
gave me the insight to perform in my first dramatic stage role to both
monologue and exit applause. I never expected that in the middle of Act
2!"
"Bobbi is a master with incredible patience and talent to communicate.
Her intensive observation of her students is like no other coach or
director I have ever worked with in tv,film or stage work. She is truly
committed to her students progression and well being. She is a wise and
understanding critic who will not accept satisfactory work-only
excellence. I taught two semesters of performance for the camera
myself. If I had met Bobbi sooner in my career I might have never left
performing or teaching acting for 12 years for a different career. But
I am back now for all the guidance necessary--Bobbi Berger----the
unbroken line between the actor and the true artist."

"I started training with Bobbi Berger at the Actor's Gymnasium in
November of 2003. We first met at that time and I spent twelve days
training under her scrutiny with her coaching methods. I was hooked. I
feel very fortunate to be under the wing of this consummate actor and
teacher. To highly recommend Bobbi Berger is an understatement at best.
Her work MUST be known by the acting community. When I returned to NYC
three months ago, since that time, thanks to the training I have
received from Bobbi Berger, I have already become associate producer in
my own production company; have nailed subsequent auditions, one of
which landed me a registration with an CD who recently placed me in a
role, with close-ups in the same scenes with Steve Martin, in the for
co-starring role in a major motion picture to be shot in Budapest this
September. upcoming Pink Panther; I have just wrapped on a co-starring
role in the upcoming film, Moonshine, which will complete
post-production in September; and I am up for auditions. I am not
saying these things to try and impress anyone with my fledgling acting
career. My point is this: Were I not training with Bobbi Berger, I
believe I would not be this far along in my career curve in such an
astoundingly short time. Mine is not the only story. I know other
people who have trained with her in the past and their stories are
similiar, so this is just more than random chance. Bobbi Berger is one
of those rare individual that has not only innovated upon the actor's
technique, but quite possibly has created a new school of acting.
Twenty-first century acting, if you will. I cannot recommend strongly
enough that you invest both materially and intellectually in what she
wants to do. It will benefit us all. If you need any further
information from me, feel free to contact me at my business phone:
718.778.2014 email yeti5@verizon.net. All the best to Bobbi Berger in
this venture. She deserves it more than anyone I know. Thank you for
your time."
Sincerely,
Gareth

"All my life I knew I had the vocal instrument to sing and yet I never
had the confidence or the identification with being a singer. I knew I
wasn't authentic, that I was holding myself back because of
vulnerability. I couldn't let the world see me. I even had a teacher
say she couldn't help me. I felt hurt and frustrated. Then Bobbi Berger
came along and miraculously, through her diligence, impeccable
perception and inspiration, so quickly helped me break through my
armored defenses and I was able to really sing, to let out the real me
to communicate to an audience! Thank you so much Bobbi. You are
exceptional and one of a kind--a truly great teacher."
Carol
Grobman - Singer
"I'm writing to thank you! These past 2 months of class have been such
a blessing in my life. My approach to acting has been totally
redefined. In working with you, I've become so much more willing and
ready to make brave and honest-(although not always easy) choices in my
work. You have an uncanny ability to see what each actor needs or what
each actor may be "going through" and you encourage us to use this
"stuff" to be honest in our work. The work you do with your students is
creating brave and authentic actors, which sets you leagues apart from
so many other teachers."
"The gifts you possess for acting & teaching, your zest for life
and your spirituality is always present and always inspirational. Thank
you, you have touched me tremendously and have undoubtedly touched many
other people. I took your class at the Actor's Connection last Friday
(Steffanie Lenz-short, with shoulder length black hair, green shirt).
WOW!!!, I truly enjoyed the class-it was inspiring!!!"
"The last couple months I've been doubting my passion for acting, but
your class really recharged me. I felt more open and ready to work in
four hours of your class than I have in a long time."
"So, thank you again. You really are a gifted teacher and know how to
connect with people. I hope that a class will form from that seminar.
I'll look for info on your website for upcoming classes."
Steffanie
Lenz - Actor
"I have to state that taking Bobbi's class has been a wonderful Life
changing experience! Her technique is not just about making you the
best actor. It's about getting the individual to their authentic self.
It's about keeping it all real; in acting and in actual life. It's
about truth and life and art. I just can't say enough about Bobbi and
her class."
"I went through a conservatory program and was greatly disappointed.
Not only did I waste my time and money, I felt like I didn't get
anything out of my experience as a person or as an artist. I wish I had
found Bobbi when I first came to NYC. Well, thank goodness I am
collaborating with her now! Bobbi is worth every penny! Actually, her
"Actor's Gymnasium" --the WHOLE experience is PRICELESS."
Yvonne Price
- Actor
"I have been taking Bobbi's class for 2 months now. Bobbi has been an
amazing acting coach. She has helped me to overcome stage fright and
gain the confidence I need for a successful audition. She has added to
the many tools needed in the acting industry and greatly improved my
monologues. She has taught me the difference between acting and
authentic acting. In class, she makes me feel safe and comfortable,
something I thought I would never find again in an acting coach."
"Bobbi has not only made a difference in my acting but in my daily
life. She is an amazing woman and role model and I look forward to her
classes. "
Rebecca
Echevarria
"These are not your typical acting classes. They are done with love and
care that I succeed. Bobbi was there with me every step of the way, and
now I am more confident, have better auditions and am getting the parts
that I want!"
Vicki Roma,
Actor
"Bobbi helped me reach my core feelings by giving me the tools to cut
through my social armor. I am now able to move people with my new-found
freedom. Bobbi is an inspirational figure and a joy to work with."
Jonathan
Harrison, Actor
"Bobbi’s class has inspired me to look into new depths of my psyche and
to reach heights I never thought possible. The creativity as well as
the depth of feeling goes unsurpassed. She has brought me out of my
mind and into my heart and has helped me become the wonderful creative
being I am."
Mary
Prichard, Writer, Actor
"Directly after my first session with Bobbi, I was called back for the
lead role opposite Paul Newman in the feature film "The Magic Hour".
The "Magic" that happened while Bobbi and I worked on the scene
together revived my ability to service a script through total emotional
truth using my own life experiences. Since then I have booked 5 feature
films and the role as Cindy on the new ABC series, "Talk to Me". The
powerful ideas, attitudes and beliefs that Bobbi passes on to me are
endless"
Marni
Lustig, Singer, Actor
"I was pounding the pavement for a year straight and nothing was
happening, and after 4 classes with Bobbi I booked a National Tour."
Sassi,
Actress, Comedian, Writer
"Bobbi is passionately committed to her students. Her compassion,
courage and genius are contagious. Watch out! This is an acting class
that is practical for the working actor- energizing, empowering and
fun."
Deborah
Braun, Actress
"In the beginning I was a total skeptic; I didn't even know why I
wanted to try acting. I pretty much had my family questioning my
sanity, but after 2 months Bobbi really revealed to me that I had so
much potential underneath. The positivity and support in Bobbi's
classroom is endless! I'm usually a "you see what you get" kind of guy,
but Bobbi really helped me see more than meets the eye within me, and
for all of you teenagers out there who are contemplating acting Bobbi's
class, this is a great first step. Take it from a true skeptic who only
recently turned 20...she's truly amazing in bringing the "real you"
into the "real world"--Authentic, relaxing, honest, and supportive in
every step you take!!!"
Shue Chan,
writer, designer, actor, possibly a singer (stay tuned)
"I had been taking acting classes at various places, but was searching
for that missing element to help me get to the core of my being, to
remind me of why I chose this profession in the first place. Bobbi has
given me that and more, and continues to do so every session we have
together. She has helped me reach new emotional depths and I can now
approach my work with an understanding and clarity I did not get
before. Her infinite knowledge, dedication and generosity she offers to
her students is a blessing to us all, whether just starting out or
veterans of the business. She is a rare spirit who manages to do the
impossible: conduct a very professional class while keeping a healthy
balance between hard work and preserving a nurturing safe environment.
I am grateful that I was lead to her and continue to be touched deeply
by the work she inspires from her class."
Giuliana
Cassataro, Actor
" Bobbi is simply inspirational as a teacher! I have been training with
Bobbi for nearly three months, and she is able to bring out such depth
and emotions from me that I never knew I had. Her guidance encourages
me to take risk in my acting and gives me the courage to pursue my
dreams. I thank God everyday that I have Bobbi Berger in my life."
Michelle
Moolchan
"99% of successful business is presentation. You MUST be a powerful
communicator. If you have ANY degree of fear of public speaking or
simply desire to become more convincing and persuasive in your daily
interactions, I can’t recommend Bobbi enough. She manages to transform
your nervous energy into a power that enables you to enjoy - even look
forward to - communicating with individuals or large groups. Unlike the
typical mundane public speaking classes, Bobbi’s acting classes offer
you a chance to tap into your creative channels. They are fun,
exciting, therapeutic and full of interesting people. She has
significantly increased my presentational and negotiating skills in a
very short time. More importantly, she has taught me how to get in
touch with, appreciate, and use my true emotions."
Phil
Schneider, Business Owner
"Bobbi`s class reminded me why I wanted to be an actor, the wonderment
of creation and to let your inhibitions free so you can enjoy life not
only on stage, but off of it. I have definitely been blessed to be a
part of the actor`s gymnasium."
Mike Estome,
Comedian
"Bobbi Berger's Actors Gymnasium is a workout for the total actor. I
began studying with Ms. Berger in September 2001. I always thought that
acting was about wearing masks and playing a "character" -- Bobbi has
helped me get over my sterile "acting" technique and approach the work
by chipping away all that is false so my true self can emerge. My
confidence has soared and for the first time in over 20 years in the
business I can say that I am finally a real and believable actress."
"And on a more personal note I believe her to be one of the most
spiritual persons I've ever met. She is dedicated to her work and her
students and has first hand knowledge of the awesome infinite power of
the Universe! Bobbi knows that every single person on the planet has a
talent and something to offer to others."
"(As a matter-of-fact, I just shot my first commercial last Friday and
before I went on the set I performed the class exercises right in my
apartment and was hailed by the Director as being "brilliant" during
the shoot. The Director said I gave him 100 percent more than he asked
for and that I had a clear understanding of the character I was
playing.)"
Roetta
Black, Actor
"After trying countless drama coaches, I finally found Bobbi who helped
me breakthrough my emotional blocks and inhibitions. Now I have the
strength and confidence to actually go on auditions."
Nikkita Lak,

refreshing. Bobbi has a unique ability to support others in connecting
to their true essence and expressing themselves fully in their lives."
Rose, Singer
"Bobbi's class is a doorway to a world of self-acceptance, self-
discovery, and inner peace. She gives all willing students the
oppurtunity to discover their talents as well as their true
motivations. The exercises are perfect for brightening your mood,
feeling comfortable in your skin, and getting in touch with the emotions
deep within. The monologues and scenes then evoke those deep-rooted
feelings climatically and powerfully, making your performance
electrifying and piercing to a supportive audience that offers
constructive criticism. A great class for those just starting as well
as those perfecting."
Mike Kupisk,
Actor
"Bobbi is an amazing, incredible teacher and a phenomenal person. When
Bobbi teaches, you can see the passion she has for teaching and the
love she has for acting. Bobbi works magic. She really helped me a lot
and I’m very grateful for that. Bobbi really cares about her students
and helps them along the way. The classes are great. Every body is like
a family and there is a very supportive atmosphere. Every body is just
happy for each other and everybody tries to help each other. You really
learn the craft of acting. Bobbi is a great teacher. I could say that
because I experienced it on my own, but you don’t have to believe me on
that, try one class and you will see that it's true."
Steve
Blyumenfeld, Actor
"What can I say , I love this class. It's a warm ,nurturing, and fun
place for anyone considering acting as a profession . I cant recommend
it enough."
William
Polites, Aspiring Actor
"Bobbi is a gifted teacher, a healer of what keeps us separated from
our authentic self, our spirit and our dreams. Her class was both
personally and life transforming. She has an uncanny way of getting to
the heart of the matter, zeroing in, and skillfully working through
whatever blocks you may have as an actor and as a human being. She is
truly an artist of the spirit."
"My experience in Bobbi's class allowed me to confront and befriend my
worst demons, identify my true desires and take back the power I had
been giving away."
"During my work with Bobbi my oldest brother committed suicide. She
encouraged me to write about and fully express my grief and anger.
Through my writing and Bobbi's skillful work I was able to act out some
very gut wrenching emotions which allowed me to move through my grief
and heal so much easier than on my own. Out of this work I created a
performance piece which I still perform today."
"Lastly, because of my work with Bobbi I had the courage to start my
own business and most importantly to be my full authentic and powerful
self, in my life and in the world. Thank God for Bobbi Berger!"
